Northampton Community College Northampton Winds

MKSD designed renovations for Northampton Community College’s restaurant and commercial teaching kitchen, Northampton Winds, located on the college campus. MKSD upgraded approximately 3,800 square feet while working within the bounds of the existing space.

The MKSD team balanced the aesthetic of the existing space to provide a new and refreshed look. The project consisted of the selective demolition of existing finishes, walls, ceilings, and restaurant equipment and the construction of new walls, ceilings, finishes, restaurant equipment, and plumbing fixtures, while the wood trusses of the existing structure were highlighted giving the space a modern look.

Being keenly aware of the use of the space, MKSD implemented improvements to the commercial kitchen that aided in further utilization as a teaching environment.
