American Bank

MSKD architects exceeded the challenge of creating a high-end space for American Bank in Allentown, Pennsylvania’s expansive new Waterfront Building.

Keeping up with an aggressive schedule and affordable budget was a challenge of this project that did not deter the firm. To eclipse these challenges, the MKSD team frequently checked in with the client, going above and beyond to help stakeholders understand design intent. Getting renderings and physical finishes in front of the client not only helped to alleviate the strain of a tight schedule and budget but also established a collaborative relationship.

The project fit out of 22,056 sq ft concentrated bolder architecture with large amounts of high-dollar finishes in the public-facing spaces and allowed private areas to be simpler in detail in order to adhere to budget constraints.

MKSD created an efficient, safe headquarters that owners and employees can be proud of. Along the perimeter of the space, 8 ft tall glass demountable wall systems on all private office fronts allow natural light to flood through the private office to fill interior offices with warmth and brightness. The glass office fronts and open concept allow for direct views to the exterior and creates connection across the entirety of the floor plan. Traditional dark cherry finishes highlight a bright, white interior space creating a feel of contemporary class. Large quartz slab feature walls in the lobby and reception area, along with neutral accents of carpet, add to the warmth of the space, exuding a simple elegance that stays true to the American Bank brand.

MKSD’s capabilities which include space planning, interior design, test fitting, 3D visualization, and construction administration ensured a show piece for American Bank as well as potential building tenants
